Due to the low bridges, horse-riders need to dismount. I noticed that at the similar sign on the other side of the low bridges that there was a concrete block to assist riders dismounting. But on this side it is too overgrown to get to.

The Bowes Railway Path is in a very poor condition. The ramp to Newcastle Bank has a step at the end where it hasn't been tied into the main path properly.
