[Image taken 25.1.22] Library Square, York. What I call a ‘York’cycle ie one set up for carrying dependants/shopping in short for utility use. In addition to the child seat it has a basket. Chunky. Heavy. I noticed this was an e-cycle. How long - less than a year perhaps - till ‘e-bikes’ are as ubiquitous as ‘York’cycles (and I no longer give them a second glance)? The more people who cycle; use e-power; can and want to go further; make more journeys and trips for a wider variety of purposes, the more out of touch the ‘hooks on trains’. And the ever more outdated and discriminatory the LNER plans to not get rid of need to upend and ‘hook’ your cycle that hugely limit who can travel with a cycle but to simply to tweak doing it. Other child-carrying cycle here today: #178200. Other e-cycle today: #178201. Other images today: #178202, #178203, #178204, #178205, #178206, #178209.
