This route made a really great east to west route for walking and cycling when it was temporarily closed. I live next to it and witnessed a huge increase in active travel in that time. When open to motor vehicles it simply isn’t safe for cyclists and pedestrians and almost impossible to safely navigate with a buggy or with any sort of mobility aid. Close it to motor vehicles, open it to pedestrians and cyclists. A cheap and easy solution to increase safety and active travel as well as reducing emissions and making social distancing easier.
